  • In the next few steps I will advise you on cleaning the wheels and swing-arm. 


 

Wheels and Swingarm
 This is where the toothbrush comes in handy! Take your can of WD-40       (if the bike is on a stand this part is much easier) spray the WD-40 carefully around the wheels and scrub with the toothbrush, you will be amazed at how much grime is removed. When both wheels have been scrubbed wash them down with all purpose shampoo as with the preparation stage. I personally never use an 'All purpose wheel cleaner' as their acidity can affect painted or aluminium wheels.

This same method can be used with the swing arm except in this case a little more WD-40 and elbow grease may be needed. Make sure that the chain is re-lubricated after this process.
